Welcome New Students,
We are excited that you have decided to become an Atlantic Cape Buccaneer! Your Success Starts Here at New Student Orientation.
This event is designed exclusively for incoming college students like you, providing an engaging platform to kickstart your academic journey and immerse yourself in campus life.
We have planned a full day of valuable information, interactive workshops, and a dynamic keynote speaker to start the morning. We understand the importance of involving your parents or guardians in this significant transition. That's why we have planned a Parent Workshop dedicated to addressing their specific questions and concerns.
To make the most of this experience, we kindly ask you to RSVP for one (1) of our available orientation dates. Check-in will begin promptly at 8:30 am.
You will have the option to further explore into your Academic Experience by attending one (1) of the optional Break Out Sessions below. Parents are welcome to attend along with you or visit a different session:

#LabLife: Thriving in Science at Atlantic Cape
- Whether you’re a Science Major or just taking a required lab science course these tips and hands-on experiences will improve your success in the laboratory. Presenter Dr. Terri Lynn Hamby
How to Succeed at Atlantic Cape During Your First Year
- Join this session if you are a first-time full-time (FTFT) student who wants to hear about how to succeed at Atlantic Cape and graduate on time with an associate’s degree. Presenter Jerome Ingram
Careers in Healthcare
- Learn more about healthcare programs and what to know about Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and other clinical majors. Presenter(s) Prof. Deb Dagrosa, Prof. Jill Agosto
Being a College Athlete 101
- If you are considering becoming a college athlete this session will answer your questions about time management, what a day in an athlete’s schedule looks like, and much more. Presenter(s) Jamal Edwards, Melissa Breault
Light refreshments will be available and a Meet & Greet Barbeque Style lunch will be held in the afternoon, along with meeting faculty and staff, music, food, campus tours, giveaways, and fun!

Food Provided (Check-in begins at 8:30 AM with light breakfast refreshments. The Orientation will begin in room 212 at 9:00 AM. Enjoy a variety of refreshments during New Student Orientation, including breakfast bars, bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, and water. Selections may vary by campus.)
