Mays Landing Campus Denim Day: Sexual Assault Awareness

Join Avanzar and the Student Government Association (SGA) for Denim Day on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 11 AM – 2 PM, a meaningful event dedicated to raising awareness and standing in solidarity against sexual assault.

Participants will have the opportunity to create a denim-inspired tote bag in honor of survivors and victims, symbolizing support and advocacy. The event will also feature a special guest speaker, Juwanna McNear, Community Services Team Lead at Avanzar, who will share insight, resources, and the importance of community awareness and prevention.

At 12:30 PM, attendees are invited to take part in a candle lighting and moment of silence to honor and remember those impacted by sexual violence.
